It’s all over Twitter and apparently the end of the world is coming May 21 2011 . Some insane guy called Harold Camping cites May 21 2011 as the new Judgement Day, following hot on the heels of the previously doltish idea of the Mayan prophecy. Apparently, the Second Coming of Christ has been foreseen by this guy from Oakland in California and the hysteria is now spreading from his Family Radio Worldwide ministry like wildfire to the, shall we say, pottier side of the web.

Camping, aged 89, is one of these types who reads hidden calendars and secret codes into the bible – as if there haven’t been enough bible code Books around.
I expect that the first portents will be UFOs over the bible belt. Or will they just turn out to be the new Chinese Stealth Fighter Plane?
